Under Incoterms 2020, the rule formerly called Delivered at Terminal (DAT) is now referred to as Delivered at Place Unloaded (DPU). Delivered At Terminal refers to the seller delivering the goods, once unloaded from the arriving means of transport. DAP – Delivery at (Place of Destination) - Incoterms 2020 Explained. In DAP, Delivery at Place, the sellers is responsible for moving the goods from origin until their delivery at the disposal place agreed with the buyer ready for unloading at destination. The Incoterm DAT stands for Delivered At Terminal. Now this means that the seller is responsible for bringing the goods in question to a terminal in the buyer’s country of destination. Now that terminal will commonly be found in the area of the point of entry into the destination market and the seller is obliged to have the goods unloaded from the main carriage vehicle.

This means that the DAT Incoterm can be used for all modes of transportation.
